It's kind of surprising at how many little Halloween-themed village pieces there are floating around out there in thrift-shop land! I'm pretty sure there's only one that has an actual brand name on it, the rest are just generic.
I display them on my coffee table in the living room. I apparently dropped the ball and didn't get any pictures the last 2 years, so this is from 2013. Obviously I've gotten more since then.
These are the most recent ones. I couldn't possible pass up the haunted ship on the right!
OK, I lied - this come came from a store called English Gardens.
The light inside changes colors.
This was a good day at the Salvation Army!
A lot of them are made to take a lightbulb, but I don't mess with running all those cords and such.
I may or may not have taken this clock tower out of someone's basket at the St. Vincent dePaul Thrift store. It was in the basket with a bunch of other stuff, but I never saw anyone around it. ~~**grab**~~
This was my iPhone 4 for size reference.
Sometimes I fleetingly wonder if I want to repaint all these pieces so they're cohesive? But then again....look at the ones 2nd from the bottom - that ceramic glaze would be hard to repaint. And personally, I wouldn't want to live in a matchy house with my neighbor, so I'll leave them how they are!
I knew there were Christmas villages to line up and these lovely Halloween 'houses' are quite genius.
