I drew my inspiration for this year's challenge from a Blogging from A to Z post from last October. The topic was about cleaning out the garage or closet and how that could be a wealth of ideas.
Well, it was!
I looked into the cluttered abyss that no car has ever sheltered in, aka our garage....
and saw a whole lot of
and saw a whole lot of
Halloween goodies!
Radio stuff and tools, too, but those aren't as fun.
I love Halloween. I set up a full cemetery every year and mine is the only house on the street to do anything as elaborate. People drive to my house on Halloween just so their kids can come see me! I don't do blood & gore, but a mix of humor, fun and a hint of traditional spooky (look for it, it's there, I promise!!)
So for each day in April, I'll showcase something that's currently in my garage, in the house or even in my head!
And just an FYI, I have a blog for my Halloween display, Maple Grove Cemetery, along with Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
I know I could have actually done the Challenge on the MGC blog, and I did the first year I participated, but I chose to cross-blog instead. I do the Countdown to Halloween in October and Creepmas in December over there so I'll give this, my main blog, its moment in the spotlight.
So, welcome to my little corner of the Blogosphere. Hope you enjoy yourself!

Sounds like a great theme :) I look forward to seeing just what is lurking in your garage and your head ;).

Thanks! Although the stuff lurking in my head might be kinda scary! LOL!
DeleteFun idea for a theme. :-D
ReplyDeleteThanks! This is the easiest one I've come up with, too.
DeleteLOL! Sounds like fun. And I hope I'll see a lot of Halloween :-)

Oh, you will be seeing plenty! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
DeleteOh... I LOVE this theme! I hope to gain some ideas (and perhaps some inspiration to do a bit of cleaning out myself)
ReplyDeleteWell, nothing actually got cleaned out of the garage - that would require a really big dumpster!
DeleteThere's a lot of stuff in the garage, but I know where all my stuff is and the hubby knows where his stuff is. So we have a chaos-balance!
LOL - I love the idea of a clutter-inspired theme! Look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had plenty of inspiration, let me tell you!
DeleteClutter as inspiration for themed A-Z posts? What's not to like? Sounds real fun. Have a great challenge and April!

Thanks! It was a fun & easy theme to come up with.
DeleteYour theme choice intrigues me, so I will be back in April. Who would have thought a garage filled with "stuff" turns out to be a great prompt for the #Challenge.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing when I read the A-Z post! The flight bulb flipped on and I ran with it.
DeleteSounds quite entertaining. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And it gives me a little bit of Halloween in Spring! :)
DeleteYour garage sounds super interesting! Can't wait to read it. We don't decorate our house for Halloween, mostly because we get zero trick-or-treaters where we live, which sucks.
ReplyDeleteI don't get as many trick-or-treaters as I'd like, but decorating makes me happy so I'd probably do it anyway.
DeleteI love Halloween, so I'm really looking forward to your posts :)

It's just so fun, what's not to love?!?!
DeleteGood luck with your Halloween in April. Can't stand it myself, but thank goodness we're all different!
ReplyDeleteJemima Pett
That is indeed true! Good luck on the Challenge, also!
DeleteIn the last few years I've really gotten into Halloween decorations - I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what goodies you have in your garage!

It's like an addiction! I always like to see what other people create, also.
DeleteAs someone from a country that doesn't celebrate Halloween, I am really intrigued by all the work and crafting and effort people put into it. It is a cultural experience :)
ReplyDeleteCool theme!

Thanks! I've seen some displays where people build entire mazes or facades for their houses, so there is a lot of variety.
