Come along with me and explore the beauty & general awesomeness of Detroit, A to Z !
The People Mover is a 2.94 mile automated, single track, driverless train around downtown Detroit. It began operation in 1987 and has 13 stations in and near key locations throughout the route.
Fun fact - when the tracks were being built, a group called Art in the Stations raised $2 million to finance artwork in each train station. There are 18 original pieces of at throughout the stations including a 1903 piece on loan from the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Riding in the People Mover
Detroit Princess Riverboat was originally built in 1993 in Louisiana as a gambling boat. It was almost scrapped in 2004, when the people from the Detroit Princess bought it and brought it to Detroit (going around Florida, up the Atlantic coast to the St. Lawrence Seaway and ending up in Toledo for a complete overhaul) It opened its door in June 2005 at Hart Plaza in Detroit.
You can take lunch and / or dinner cruises and the entire boat can be rented for parties of 1800 people!

Very cool. I think I'd like to go for a riverboat ride. I'll have to add that to my list of travel to-dos!

We admired the Princess Riverboat the last time we visited Detroit in 2016. Very impressed with the whole River walk.
