I may be slightly biased (ok, a lot!) but I think Michigan is pretty darn awesome. Here is a link of 177 things to love about Michigan - I'm only listing a very few.
* the North American International Auto Show - here
*the world longest porch - The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island
* the world's largest Christmas Store - Bronner's
*150 lighthouses - here
*197 waterfalls - here
*Mackinac Bridge - here
*home to both Paradise & Hell - my personal blog post here
*the Michigan Left turn - because we're special like this.
*a built in map on your right hand
*home of the Big Three auto makers.
*you are never more than 85 miles from any of the Great Lakes or 6 miles from an inland lake
...And as of last night - we can't forget this EXCITING tidbit.....
WOOOHOOOOOO!
My daughter and her husband live in Michigan we visit them from England every year. I can't see any problem with a Michigan left. Com on the Pistons and the Redwings!
ReplyDeleteThe first time my ex came to visit Miss Angela, he called me in a panic since he didn't know what to do!! It never occurred to me that other states didn't have such a thing. Ooops.
DeleteThat is a lot to be proud of. I've not yet visited Michigan.
ReplyDeleteI really want to visit all 50 states. So I've been to already, but I'd go again. maybe one day when I'm independently wealthy.
ReplyDeleteI've been to both Paradise and Hell, Michigan. An exboyfriend lived in Paradise, so naturally, I didn't think it was that great! LMAO! Hell was green, very, very green.
