So I shall look at that last progress report from school instead. These grades probably don't include the final exams, so if anything - they're worse.
I'll have you know that I am extremely embarrassed and it makes me want to put my fingers in my ears and yell LALALALALALALALA when I hear co-workers and FB friends bragging about their kids' all A report cards. This is what I get to see....
Environmental Science - D-
Math 8 - D+ and *9* tardies !!!!
Drama 7/8 - B
French I - C+
US History 8 - C
English 8 - C-
Where did I go wrong?? Did I not drop her on her head enough as an infant?? She's obviously not having trouble in just one class. So Sylvan or Kumon learning centers won't help any. Teachers have been telling me since 3rd grade that should could easily be an A/B student if she would turn all her assignments in. I don't know how to do that!! I can't walk her into each class & hold her hand and walk her to the teacher's desk every day. She's got to see everyone else turning stuff in - why won't she????
So anyway....She's going to summer school for English because she'd gotten an F for the first semester. 6 weeks, 2 hours a day. All I have to say is that she better ace this damn class because its a HUGE inconvenience for me!! I end up going into work 45 minutes late and then I have to waste another 45 to go get her & drop her off at the Boys & Girls Club. And I have to either make up or lose that time at work. So I'm stuck there until 5. Peak shit traffic of the Universe. To top it all off - beginning July 11 - she starts dance for 4 weeks. Monday 4-7 pm and Tuesday 3:45-4:30. I don't know how I'm going to work this.
I am really thankful that it is very laid back at my work & I am allowed to take time off like this.
I could really drag this post out a lot, but I don't feel like it - so I'm ending with Maggie.
I like Maggie.
Yes, her tongue is sticking out.
