Welcome to Day #1 of the Annual April A to Z Blogging Challenge!
This is my 6th year participating in the challenge, and I'm looking forward to this new non-listy format with commenting my links on Facebook & the A-Z daily posts.
As I said in my reveal post, my theme is all about mostly 80's & 90's hair band music (with some artistic license, of course!) I'm not going to get all into the "this artist was influenced by so & so" nonsense - I posted these songs because I straight up liked the freakin' songs. Nothing more, nothing less. I have added some memories and/or comments here & there, too.
It's a gimme that I start out with my favorite band of all time.

The songs wouldn't play for me, but the titles brought back memories. https://mhsusannematthews.wordpress.com/2017/04/01/day-1-a-to-z-challenge-a-is-for-april/
ReplyDeleteWow, I'll have to check into that. Thanks for letting me know!
DeleteHi! I remember the 80s fondly. My favorite song in this group is "Angel."
ReplyDeleteSandra Ulbrich Almazan, Science Fiction/Fantasy Author
It brings back some memories!
DeleteI'm not at all musical but I had heard of Deaf Leppard and Aerosmith.
ReplyDeleteBob at http://bit.ly/2olC3Hx
They've both been around a LONG time!
DeleteGreat post and we're off with the A to Z!
ReplyDelete{{hearing the starting bugle from the Kentucky Derby}} LOL :D
DeleteAs soon as I read the titles the songs start playing in my head! :) - Marie The Articulate Image
ReplyDeleteThat always happens with the good songs!
DeleteI was a HUGE fan of Def Leppard back in the day. Sigh!
ReplyDelete26 Things To Hate About Writing: A is for Authors
I still am a huge fan! Oddly I've only seen them in concert once and they sound great live!
DeleteI didn't know a couple of those, so you enlightened me! :-) In the group, Angel is my favorite. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, too!
DeleteAhh Aerosmith. Don't think Steven Tyler has changed his haircut in decades. :)
ReplyDelete- Joy @ The Joyous Living
He must be one of those people who found a style that worked for him and won't ever change it!
DeleteWow. I've only heard of two of the bands but it's bringing back memories of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteBack in the MTV days!
DeleteA great list. Aerosmith may be my favorite. Great start to the challenge
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's been a fun trip down memory lane!
DeleteVisiting from A to Z. Like how you cut right to the chase...or the music, I mean. Good choices. I love Def Leppard, too!
ReplyDeleteI had to put my favorite guys first!!
DeleteDef Leppard and Aerosmith, two of my favorites then and now! Love your choices!
ReplyDeleteHere's my link, let's see how many people can figure out what my theme is by the middle of next week. :P

OH, I'm intrigued! I'm heading over to look right now!
DeleteLove it! Def Leppard and Aerosmith are two of my favorites as well. Love your choices!

We played 80s music trivia last night. My husband did much better than I did. I'll have to test him on these songs. WeekendsInMaine
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll have one or two that will be "OMG, I forgot about that song!!" moments! (I hope anyway) :D
DeleteI had never heard of Steelheart but I really like that song. I'm going to have to research them. Great start to the A to Z. Def Leppard may make an appearance on my blog shortly!
ReplyDeleteA is for Adele
They're making multiple appearances on mine! They have too many good songs to pick just one!
DeleteI was expecting Aerosmith today!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Steelheart though. Not sure I have heard "Angel Eyes" before, but the genre brings up yearning feelings of the late 80s (even though I realise it hasn't been released till 1991)
I can only think of a very few songs of theirs off the top of my head, that were played on MTV / on XM radio (don't know if you have that where you're from). I looked online and only that album really made it big in the US.
DeleteI remember all of these except the Electric Boys song. I'm not even sure if I remember that band... Oh, time.. what a funny thief.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from AtoZ
I've heard them mostly on XM radio and I liked the song so I had to include them. Still takes me back to the best part of high school!
DeleteI LOVE your disclaimer: "Because I like the freaking songs!" Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not going a really "serious" theme!
DeleteI can't recall hearing any of these songs before. I must have heard "Animal" since I had the Hysteria album.
ReplyDeleteArlee Bird
Tossing It Out
Then you'll have heard lots of the songs during my challenge!
