Since we were pretty much packed up Sunday night, Monday we just needed to load up the car and grab a leisurely breakfast on the way to the airport.
Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, of course!
A chicken, bacon, egg & cheese bagel
Since Randy likes police cars, I took a picture of this one outside the airport.
I was pretty ticked that leaving Atlanta for Flint, they told us nobody else could take carry-on baggage and it needed to be checked at the gate. If that would have happened on the way to Charleston, I would have thrown a grade - A hissy fit. There's no way in hell I would have let her costumes out of my paws. I was even more ticked to see how many open spots in the overhead there were as we made our way to the back of the plane where our seats were. And it was obvious that many people don't pay attention to the size restrictions of carry-ons and just as obvious that the size of carry-ons were not enforced! Some people had "carry-ons" bigger than what Angel checked!
This thing was insanely huge!
It buzzed our hotel and it looked like it was barely moving thru the sky! Here it looks like it pooped out that little plane. It hauls parts for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Got to love this art in the terminal!
Randy was in the cell-phone lot at Flint and was tracking our plane on the Delta app. He saw us come in all wobbly & finally touch down. So once we got our bags (and I checked all the pockets & such on her duffle for her comp jewelry since it wasn't locked at all), Randy was waiting out front.
As soon as we got in the car, he told me to look in the glove compartment - he got us Timmy's for the ride home! Since we'd gone well over a week without any, ya know.
We stopped back by sister Laurie's and took her out to dinner, since she'd picked Jack up from Randy after work on Thursday and still had him. He loves hanging out at Aunt Laurie's but he didn't try to stay like he usually does. Guess he was glad to see me! The paw scratches on the door of my car also are a sign.
Then as a follow up to the drama that happened when we got home..... She's still not home. She's been over a few times and went to the parade with us (with Psycho Boy) on the 4th. Pretty sure she's going back & forth between his house & Brittney's still. She was going to stay on Sunday, but she said they had plans to go to the lake & fireworks, & such. She went herself to sign up for dance tonight since I'm still not paying for it. I should probably text Terina & let her know what's up.
Anyhoooo, hope ya'll had a great 4th!
