Welcome Summer!

Note - I really thought I posted this on June 27 - so I'm just gonna let it go now! 

Actually who am I kidding? 

I despise the heat & especially humidity. 

It doesn't take much to make me sweat and I've been doing a lot of that lately! 

And these record high temps are for the birds! 

Going in a completely different direction - if you don't know me - Halloween in my jam.  

It's my favorite time of the year and I just enjoy it a lot. 

That being said - I've been taking advantage of stores already putting things out on their shelves. 

I paid a visit to both At Home stores in my area last weekend and among other things...

Came home with these guys!

Maple Grove Cemetery

So the grandson is currently attending Mon / Wed / Fri "summer camp" at the local Lifetime Fitness.  

He's of the age (coming up on 5 1/2 in a couple days) where he doesn't need a nap every day, but he benefits from some afternoon downtime.  He doesn't get that at camp!  So this was after his first day there.....

He went with me to pick up McDonald's for dinner. I put in the order at the speaker and pulled up to pay - sometime between that and getting to the window to get the food....I lost him. 

When we got home, I reached back and squeezed his knee to wake him up and then got out to go around and unbuckle him - he apparently was groggy enough he didn't realize I unbuckled him and he kept trying to do it himself!  Then he almost fell out of the car, when to the back door of the house and stood there.  Guess he was waiting for it to magically open on its own! 

Someone slept really well that night!
