a bit of poetry....

A Michigan Poem

It's winter in Michigan
And the gentle breezes blow.
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Michigan
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Michigan
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

  1. My daughter has just sent us photos of her dogs up to the haunces in snow and celebrating because no-one in the neighbourhood can get out to work today.

    1. I don't know why my reply didn't show up from before! My daughter ended up with 4 days off school because of the "Polar Vortex". She was starting to get concerned because she had mid-term exams that they hadn't finished reviewing for!
Our dog had fun. We shovel a path to the end of the garage and he uses it for a running start to bound over the pile and plow as fast as he can go thru the chest deep snow. It was so funny watching him!
